1. Summary
- Piskes Agent is software installed on your computer. Conversations, the bot’s memory, files you hand to the bot and your API key are stored on your machine (
~/.hermes). - While you are not signed in to a Piskes account, Piskes does not receive your conversations, files or keys. Model requests go straight from your machine to the provider you chose.
- The piskes.com website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookie-free visit counting, no individual tracking.

Uninstalling the app and deleting ~/.hermes removes all of it.
3. Data sent to your model provider
To answer you, the bot sends message content and the needed parts of files to the model provider you configured (OpenAI, OpenRouter, or your own endpoint). That processing is governed by that provider’s policy, not Piskes’. With a local model, nothing leaves the machine.
The bot may use connectors you enable (for example Gmail, Google Calendar) — only after you grant access on the respective account, and you can revoke it there at any time.
4. When you sign in to a Piskes account
An account is optional. Once signed in, Piskes stores:
- Your email address, current plan, list of signed-in devices.
- Metering metadata for model requests that pass through the Piskes gateway: model, tokens in/out, estimated cost, timestamp, account id. Piskes does not store the content of messages or answers in metering logs.
- Payment history (processed by the payment provider; Piskes does not store card numbers).
When signed in, model requests from the app (your own key included) pass through Piskes metering — this is stated on the sign-in screen itself. Signing out disables it entirely.
5. Diagnostic bundles and support
The diagnostic bundle (Settings → Support) is created on your machine and only leaves it when you attach it yourself when contacting us. Every API key and token is redacted before packing.
6. The piskes.com website
- No tracking cookies. Your light/dark preference is kept in your browser’s
localStorage. - Cloudflare Web Analytics collects aggregate numbers (page, browser, country) without personal identifiers.
7. Your rights & contact
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your account data by emailing [email protected] from the registered address. Data on your machine is entirely under your control.
